CONSTRUCTION CRAFT LABORER

WORK DESCRIPTION

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Laborers are the most diverse craft in the construction industry. Laborers are present at every stage of construction, in every industry, and work directly with every craft in construction.

Laborer tasks are broad from placing concrete to using the latest cutting equipment in demolition, to setup/operation of GPS, drones, levels, transits, and laser equipment used in site grading & excavation work, to environmental remediation including asbestos/lead abatement and removal of radioactively contaminated soils and structures, plus much more!

Apprentice wages range from $17.90-$18.65.
Journey level wages range from $35.80-$37.30.

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Copy of birth certificate or Photo ID
  • Copy of high school diploma, G.E.D., or transcripts
  • Applicants must obtain a Letter of Intent from a signatory contractor

TRAINING PROGRAM

As a Construction Craft Laborer you have a chance to specialize in ten various training programs: General-Concrete Framework, Cured In Place Pipe, Demolition, Tunneling, Environmental (Asbestos and Lead Abatement), Excavation and Grading, Sewer and Water, Masonry, Flatwork-Concrete, and Highway.  Throughout the apprenticeship training program there will be a total of 4,000 hours of On-the-Job Training; between 300-368 total classroom hours. The duration of the apprenticeship program is 3 Years.
